Did The United States Try To Hide Its Japanese Interment Camps At Any Point Or Failed To Teach It To Students?

After WWII some countries tried to hide certain of thier actions to the next generation, ie the Japanesse The Rape of Nanjing. Is there any examples of this in the United States or other allied country?

The US never tried to hide the fact that there were interment camps in WWII they did not teach anything about it in it’s schools. Some historians wrote books about the Executive Order 9066. and one of the books that was read in intermediate school was “Farewell to Manazanar” it wasn’t until the 1970’s that people really began to talk about the camps and to teach about it.
Unlike the Japanese who denied the Rape of Nanking the US has always admitted the Interment of it’s own citizens in WWII even if some have denied the reasons for the interment.

We let the Japanese of the hook so we could have a buffer between the US and the USSR.
