There’s no real competition!
The TomTom ONE is, for the occasional or semi-frequent user of satnav the only way to go. Plug it in, and off you go. Intuitive to use – does exactly what it says on the tin.

A good idea to buy the leading brand?
I wanted a basic SatNav without all the useless bells and whistles and this one, which comes highly rated, seemed to be the obvious choice.

Take a BACKUP before you do anything!
I suppose this does what it’s supposed to. I do get annoyed when it says ‘right turn ahead’, because what I actually *hear*, is ‘turn right’.

A disappointing experience
Had used TomTom GPS before on a PDA and had even borrowed a V1 TomTom One for a trial run, so I was familiar with many of its shortcomings before purchase.

Like many others, I too, thought the Tom Tom was great, Initially. Then recently I noticed that the screen would suddenly go dead.

Exactly what this thing can and cannot do
I have now owned the Tomtom v3 for three weeks and put it to use with around a thousand miles worth of travel.

TOMTOM R.I.P.
Bought this unit for driving to geocaches using coordinates. Worked absolutely brilliantly and got to some pretty remote spots with ease.

Good Unit, Shame about the Company
Brilliant unit, does exactly what it says on the box, and so easily too! But, the LORD help you should you get a problem.
