I have a 3.3 liter in my 1997 Grand Caravan SE, will any trans out of a earilier year fit? and if so what years. I found a 1996 3.8 liter auto trans w OD but i am concerned that the engine size may make for changes. Oddly enough, my neice has a 1999? Plymouth Grand Voyager with a 3.0 V6, with a bad trans also. so I may have 2 of these to do. I have been told the body is same from 1996 – 2000 and that looks right from searching the web. But what about transmissions? Please only “KNOWN” info – no guesses… thx, auto master mechanics and Mopar-Dodge, Chry, Plymouth techs are highly appreciated.

I have not so good credit and 4 kids. I purchased a van from a car lot under credit acceptance. It was a 93 dodge caravan that was a piece of crap anyway. I was placed under 300 a month payment with “FULL COVERAGE” LOL insurance. The people at the lot told me and the people at credit acceptance said “The dealer doesnt get paid until you pay”. SO in my mind this was like a RENT TO OWN. I had to have the car voluntarily repo’d because it was too expensive, and not reliable. Now they have placed this in my credit report saying I owe them like 4000. How can I owe them that if they never gave the car lot the money in the first place? They also auctioned the car after I had them come and pick them up. This is unfair to me and doesnt seem like a real loan. I have disputed this already and they keep saying I owe them. Money was never truly lent on my behalf. Please help me understand what to do. Thanks

I won’t go into the soap opera but I have a gps tracking device on my car and I want to turn it over to the police. This is my car and I am an adult. I really would appreciate some advice.
I’ve been told the tracker emits a signal that can be detected with a divice. Another was to walk around my car with a AM/FM radio with dial all the way to the top so there is static and when static changes rythmically, bingo! Finally, I was told that it is the size of a pack of gum and can only be found by sight.
Do any of these suggestions hold water? Your suggestion for finding? Are there preferred places these things are located?

I’ve searched different brands of portable auto GPS units and have been unable to find one that has street maps of the country of Turkey. Am I missing one?

I’ve used many GPS units in the field with topo software, though have yet to purchase a vehicle GPS unit. I’m wondering, do any (Tom Tom, C330, Nuvi) allow you to view the exact UTM coordinate of your location? Do they also allow you to switch which datum your using? Please don’t answer unless you understand what I’m talking about.

I have read numerous postings of people with 05 Caravans and 05 Town and Countries having this problem. Some paid to have them fixed and the problem still continues. If there are so many with this problem why isn’t it a recall?
