I teach Spanish in a camp for kids in kindergarten to fifth grade. I want something that groups of 8 to 10 kids at a time can help make. I would like it to be a fairly simple recipe. I would also like it to be something children are familiar with, in case they do not like it. Desserts are easier because i will be serving their creations at snack time. I like to shy away from greasy foods or things that will take a long time to finish as they only have 50 minutes to a class. I need to feed 64 kids in the camp. what can I do to help me not get homesick

We have a BBQ we are taking along with some small camping stoves. Help please!

I’m assuming you will at least have a camping stove….
Bagles, cream cheese (it will last), hummus, Zattarans Red Beans and Rice, gummy bears, any bagged meal such as Mountain House ( They are really good, give it a try), trail mix, Pita’s, avacados, tapatio to spice anything up, block cheese ( will turn rubbery, but still tastes great), raisins or any other dried fruit especially mangos, Any pasta and buy a flavor pouch, they come in many kinds, Tortillas, Peanut Butter, Pre-cooked sausage and then heat it up on stove. They also have vacu-sealed turkey chunks that are good.
Mix and match any of these and you have yourself a great camping trip.

Okay so here’s the deal, I’m going camping with a big group of friends and we just want to get smashed. I’m talking beer, hotdogs, the usual all-american meal. But I can’t just show up with hotdogs and beer so do any of you have any other ideas? Please help, I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow.

My 3 year old has just been on holiday with 2 other children, we came back on monday and now one of them has chicken pox, will my child get this, we stayed in a caravan so they were in contact a lot of the time!

I use Avon Skin So Soft. It has a great reputation for repelling bugs. Of course there are other things like OFF! you can buy at target, but I hate the way they smell and make me greasy. Get the original Skin So Soft in a white and green bottle (try eBay if you dont have an Avon rep). Also, burning citronella candles keeps them away at night.
