Our Dodge caravan has good battery power to crank the engine, but it doesn’t turn over. We suspect the 0-2 sensor because we have been using a lot of gas lately, and we thought that maybe it wasn’t sending the right signals to get the right fuel mix. So maybe it was going out, and now is out.
i have a dodge caravan that sounds like it jumped time but i had a mechanic tell me it was the crank shaft sensor.i don’t believe it but i want to be sure.what do you think
Temp sensor readout on overhead console appears OK (accurate) until I drive on slushy road. Then it fluctuates , indicating much higher temps. I believe that it also affects the automatic temperature system in the cabin since the A/C comes on even if it’s cold outside while the console indicates 55 or higher. Where is the sensor located? How can I test/replace it? Might it be a bad ground wire?
also do you know a webpage that explains replacment and has illistrations.
My service engine soon light came on. I took the car to Autozone, and they checked the code. It came up as 420. Which their book says is the O2 sensor or the catalytic converter. I replaced the O2 sensor that is before the catalytic. And the light is still on. Could there be another sensor somewhere that needs to be changed, or does this mean I need to replace the catalytic?
I have a Haynes Repair Manual but it dont help it tells me the chapter but i cant find where it mentions the sensor.
I have a 96 Dodge Caravan with the 3.0L v6 engine.
Autozone.com lists an independent crankshaft sensor for it. Other people say it is integrated with the distributor. The autozone guide says that it is the CAMshaft sensor integrated.
So, what is the actual situation with this? And if it is independent, where is it located?
I wasn’t even using the a/c and the fan keeps running for several minutes after turning off the vehicle. This in turn has depleted the battery. Is the coolant temp. sensor to blame?
Looking to install a newly purchaced Performance Module and need location of Intake air temperature sensor to install. It’s for a 1997 Dodge Grand caravan, 3.0 liter engine. Please be specific as possible
