I was hoping I could use my iPhone 3G when going off road as an actual hand held GPS device. Can it do that or must you be near a cell phone tower?

my 3-year boyfriend and i are planning to enlist in the Navy. Is getting married before enlisting a wise idea? i know the buddy system only applies to same sex recruits. but will marital status be considered when being deployed or being assigned into base camps, (just as families of other sailors are given BAH and the chance to live near base camp)?i know for a fact that couples may not be assigned together in ships though. any suggestions?

I have never used any kind of GPS road navigator before but am interested in purchasing one. Do I have to pay for any kind of service? Or does it work on its own?

I have a buddy that works in TLE at Walmart as a technician, he recently was doing tire work on a Dodge Caravan, the lift points he used on the outside of the van caved in. Is he going to get fired?, he is going on a year in November and he has a clean record wih them.

If I go to Paraguay this summer for 6 weeks would this look good on my resume for med school?

I write and I love nature, but not hiking and camping, as odd as that sounds.
I was thinking of the library or a nature center, but my mom works at a nursing home. I volunteered there before but it smells bad and the quality of care is terrible, or so she says. I don’t like working with sickly old people.
I’m 13, and available on weekends and some weeknights for about 2-3 hours at a time. This would last about a month, 2 times a week.
