After WWII some countries tried to hide certain of thier actions to the next generation, ie the Japanesse The Rape of Nanjing. Is there any examples of this in the United States or other allied country?

Our school has $2,500.00 to spend on enrichment for Gifted and Talented students. We don’t have enough money to take a trip, so we would like to have fun, but educational activities for them to do on a Saturday at our school. Does anyone have any good ideas? It can be in an core subject area: science, math, language arts or social studies. These are 7th graders by the way.

I would consider camping and cycling, but the only time me and my friends are able to go to Germany is during the January holidays and I gather it gets rather… cold. We’re looking to see as many places as possible, as in we want to start off in Germany and make our way North and West, but we’re all college students and pretty broke. I’m looking to take a trip to the Outer Banks with some buddies. Ideally, I’d like to camp on the beach, have a fire, do some surfing, and be near a town where we can hit the bars and maybe meet some girls.

My daughter would love to go to a photography camp this summer. Does anybody have any suggestions? She can take beautiful pictures with our Nikon D60, but has never had any formal training.
