we will be “roughing it” in a tent, with the closest town with amenities (i.e. Wal-mart) 45 minutes away, so if we forget something, we’re SOL. we even have to bring drinking water and a portable shower. we cant forget anything, but dont camp like this pften. what should be bring? (we will also be bringing our dog, do i need anything but food for him?)

to carry for a few miles into the woods to set up camp, not drive in and carry 2 feet, what is the best tent to take with you that is light weight, durable,between 100-300 dollars, and 2-3 person. And what elese could you recommend to go with this tent.

I just spent about $150 on my tent, grill, flashlights, air mattress, tablecloth, propane, hot dog roasters, and mountain pie makers. It is really going to depend on which items you choose. You could spend $150+ just on a tent or only $20 depending on the size, brand, etc. The thing to remember to is it can be a bit pricey to start but once you have everything it will last you for years if you take care of it.
