I need to plan my honeymoon, but we can’t really afford to go that far. We live in Salt Lake, so that’s out, and camping seems … ill-suited for honeymooning. Also to consider: we hate Park City and also don’t want to be in a hotel where people are camping. That’s tacky. What’s left? Idaho? Southeastern Oregon? Elko?

I live in NW Arkansas. I am willing to travel up to 500 miles away. I would consider camping as an alternative to staying in a hotel. I have 2 kids ages 8 and 11. All of the family enjoys being outdoors and sports.

We are looking for activities that tweens and parents could enjoy doing together – camping, shopping, eating out, museums, musical theatre, even sports events…But, not necessarily anywhere too “touristy”. Any suggestions would really be appreciated!

I’m going camping on August 18th. That’s really far away! What should I do to past the time bye?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and would like to take a very comfortable summer vacation before my baby arrives. I usually go to the beach, but with all the weight gain I don’t really feel comfortable. Many parks have too many restrictions and too much walking for pregnant women. Camping will be extremely hot this time of year (plus I don’t think I can manage sleeping on an air mattress this far along). I would love to hear creative suggestions from women who have been in my situation before.

I recently started working for a school and have all summer off with my 2 kids who are 8 (boy) and 10 (girl). I’m looking for a vacation spot within a day or two drive of the Denver area. We have already been to the mountain resorts and local spots many times and are looking for something fun that is a little further away.
We enjoy sightseeing, the outdoors and educational experiences but don’t have any camping equipment (and really don’t want to buy it). Any suggestions or experiences to share?

You could go to Islamorada or Marathon in the Florida Keys; or camp at Bahia Honda State Park. If your kids are 10 years old or older, you could all take snorkeling/skin diving lessons together and then hit the some of the shallow coral reefs.

You could visit Kennedy Space Center; maybe stay on the beach at Cape Canaveral or Cocoa. Or even head south to the Disney Resort in Vero.
You could stay at the beach in Clearwater or St. Pete….play on the beach and then spend a day at Busch Gardens or visit Tarpon Springs.

We can’t decide where to go on vacation. We live in Michigan and with the gas prices we don’t want to travel too far (we will be hauling a travel trailer). We would love ideas near Michigan.
